2015 Polyfest

Yesterday the whole senior block of Pt England school went to poly fest. In the morning we went to get ready to go to poly fest. First we sat in our classes for our teachers to call our names out on the roll. After our teachers called our names out we went to go on the bus to poly fest in Manukau. After 20 minutes drive on the bus we got off on the side of poly fest.

We sat down until the other buses arrived then we went into poly fest. When we got in these security guards were checking our bags. They were checking too see if we had any illegal stuff on us but none of us had anything. When they were finished we went to go sit down on the wet cold grass. We saw lots and lots of different schools there.

There was a lady talking to us about something, and then, John Key, the prime minister came. That was the first time I had seen John Key. After that we all went to go do some activites in our own different groups. The first activity we did was fire wise. A fire mans was talking to us about fire safety. Then he showed us some stuff about what fire can do and how fast it could spread.

After a couple hours we went to go see the performance of bollywood. That was awesome watching a different culture. Then our team teacher  brought us some donuts. They were delicious. After that we went to sit down in the sun waiting for our buses to go back to school. When we went to get our bus there were no buses and my team had to wait. It was hot when our bus came. We jumped on the bus and went back to school. When we got back to school we all said thank you to the bus driver and went back to class.

Museum trip.

On Tuesday on the third week of school the Year 7s went on a trip to the Museum. We left at 10:30am just to look at all the designs for our topic Art Attack. When we got there, first we went  to go in our groups. Then we went inside to have morning tea. 

After that we went to go and see the Maori patterns. They looked so amazing! First we went to the marae. Before you go into the marae you have to take your shoes off. Inside the marae I could see many amazing ancient carvings. I took lots and lots of pictures because they looked so amazing.

After that we went to go and see the Pacifica patterns. They showed what they used to defend each other and their tribe. Then I went to go check out the Samoan patterns. They had like a machete that looked sharp. I think thats what the chief used to have.

After that we went to go see the extinct animals like the big giant moa. It was  five times bigger than a human. Then my team went to see a T-rex and other dinosaurs like the long necked dinosaur. It’s not a meat eater, it’s a vegetarian. It’s a nice big dinosaur. I would have it as a pet.

Then we went outside to take some more pictures and then went down the hill to go and see the nice flowers. It looked nice then I went to the pond which looked like a mansion and I was touching the cat fish.

Hiwarau Rousie

Hiwarau week over franks.

On Saturday and Sunday I was sleeping over Franks to help his mum bake some cupcakes and muffins,cakes. It was nice Franks mum is a good cooker when i grow up i want to be a chief like chief Ramsey and Franks mum.When the cakes and the cupcakes, and muffins were ready we started to put some icing on the cake and muffins and then put chocolate on the pancakes and the put chocolate on the cupcakes.

When we were ready to eat the cakes and the muffins and the cupcakes were finished putting the icing on the cakes and muffins and cupcakes it was ready to eat it was nice my taste buds were bursting with flavour in my mouth it was so nice i got full over two on sunday.We took some muffins to church it was Franks church after church we went back to Frank's place.

To get some swimming togs with his death brother Whiti we went to the we got ready in our togs and to jump in the pool and Frank’s brother Whiti jumped in the pool with his hat on.

When we got back to Frank’s house we had to help his mum out to do our dinner and dessert.

When dinner was ready everybody  went straight to the table to have their dinner dessert. We had to wash our hands and pray when we were finished praying. It was time to prey on our food and dessert then we watched some movies on the tv.

Robot dragon fly slayer.

         

                                            Robot dragon fly slayer.

Once there was a dragon fly slayer he was a young and strong  he will always kill dragonflies.

One day he would find something and kill it.But this day he would not fight the dad dragonfly.

He was too scared to kill the dad dragonfly then he got his shield and his sword and then.

thought the dragonfly and he whacked on the ground. But he got back he stabbed it in wings and the dragonfly fell from the sky. And then he stabbed it in the head and out came the blood.

And the dragonfly got killed he proud of his no one will go near him.

The Seed

Years back there were 2 tribes,Scarabs & Chafers. There was a border that they never crossed. They lived far away in the dessert where it was very hot.

An object fell from the sky. They thought it was a rock but it wasn't so they got their scientist to do sketches. It was a cherry stone. Then the Scarabs and Chafers wanted to fight over it. It took them years to build.

Their base was under ground.They left the seed up top on the ground and the beetles were underground. They made  shafts and tunnels as their weapon they made a spear and sharp saws and catapults.  


And then they were ready to fight next they had no resson to fight because the seed was gone it turned into a cherry tree had blossoms and the cherry tree wah sides on both sides.
