A complex sentence has more than one clause. It has added detail giving the reader more information. It adds interest and makes writing JUICY.

You can add to the

beginning

middle

end

of simple sentences.

At Kawau Island for our activity Mr Jacobsen was our coach on the confidence course.

I was nervous about sailing on camp because I thou-rt I was going to tip over.

Hiwarau week over franks.

On Saturday and Sunday I was sleeping over Franks to help his mum bake some cupcakes and muffins,cakes. It was nice Franks mum is a good cooker when i grow up i want to be a chief like chief Ramsey and Franks mum.When the cakes and the cupcakes, and muffins were ready we started to put some icing on the cake and muffins and then put chocolate on the pancakes and the put chocolate on the cupcakes.

When we were ready to eat the cakes and the muffins and the cupcakes were finished putting the icing on the cakes and muffins and cupcakes it was ready to eat it was nice my taste buds were bursting with flavour in my mouth it was so nice i got full over two on sunday.We took some muffins to church it was Franks church after church we went back to Frank's place.

To get some swimming togs with his death brother Whiti we went to the we got ready in our togs and to jump in the pool and Frank’s brother Whiti jumped in the pool with his hat on.

When we got back to Frank’s house we had to help his mum out to do our dinner and dessert.

When dinner was ready everybody  went straight to the table to have their dinner dessert. We had to wash our hands and pray when we were finished praying. It was time to prey on our food and dessert then we watched some movies on the tv.

Penguins surviving.

Penguins are birds that live in the Southern Oceans. Penguins don’t live in the North pole.

There are only polar bears in the North pole. In the southern ocean they live at the bottom of the world.

Penguins can’t fly. When  Penguins come ashore they take waddling steps on their short legs.

In winter the temperature drops fast.And there is a strong gayl.The sun does not rise.

did you  know there is no sun in winter? its just cold and windy.

In antarctica male emperor penguins can survive on freezing pack ice, where blizzards case the temperature to drops well below zero.

Emperor penguins have thick water proof coat on their skin.and feathers that overlap to keep them warm to and fluffy layers.

Robot dragon fly slayer.

Once there was a dragon fly slayer he was a young and strong  he will always kill dragonflies.

One day he would find something and kill it.But this day he would not fight the dad dragonfly.

He was too scared to kill the dad dragonfly then he got his shield and his sword and then.

thought the dragonfly and he whacked on the ground. But he got back he stabbed it in wings and the dragonfly fell from the sky. And then he stabbed it in the head and out came the blood.

And the dragonfly got killed he proud of his no one will go near him.

The Seed

Years back there were 2 tribes,Scarabs & Chafers. There was a border that they never crossed. They lived far away in the dessert where it was very hot.

An object fell from the sky. They thought it was a rock but it wasn't so they got their scientist to do sketches. It was a cherry stone. Then the Scarabs and Chafers wanted to fight over it. It took them years to build.

Their base was under ground.They left the seed up top on the ground and the beetles were underground. They made  shafts and tunnels as their weapon they made a spear and sharp saws and catapults.  


And then they were ready to fight next they had no resson to fight because the seed was gone it turned into a cherry tree had blossoms and the cherry tree wah sides on both sides.

2012 Reflection

This year we got our net books. I like using my net book For maths we go on xtra math and math whiz. Sometimes we do writing I like doing 3 time. And   
Like using the computer and study ladder my net book is the best.
I like using my netbook because you can learn with it.

I am looking ford to next year to using my net book. And I like writing writing is the best.

And my goal is to look after my net book. A and doing the right thing.

Manaiakalani Film Festivl

This week we went to the Manaiakalani Film Festival and we watched all the movies. Glen Brae school went to the museum  with their teacher and they were singing a song about going to the museum and I thought it was a really good song.  It was the best movie.

   Scary night story.

One Night was a scary night it was time to go bed. Intel I heard something. It was coming from under my bed. I was about to cry but i didn't I standed up for myself and I cried. Because I was hearing footsteps It was just like paranormal activity 4. But much much scarier than paranormal activity 4 it was real it sound real so I ran to my dad and mum I jumped in there bed and that wasn't my mum or my dad it was dead people with no legs.



I ran away again then i got tired I my mum and dad hanged I ran outside and the gats were and there was a dead lady standing up by the gate. So went in the garage there were dead people.
I was crying then someone came and it was a man he could him it was my uncle rocky.
He is not scared of ghost.

A scary doll story.

     The girl that gets turned into a doll.
One day a little girl was skipping down a snowy footpath, she made it to her favorite doll shop. She wrote her name onto the blackboard Alma perfect her name is Alma.

She looked behind her because there was a sound of cogs. And there was a doll that looked like Alma. Wanted that doll so she walked to the door and tried to open it.


The door wasn't opening then she walked away and threw a snowball at the door window. Then the door opened then she walked into the shop slowly and the doll that looked like her went on the shelf Alma bumped into a doll that was on a bike. It looked like it was trying to escape out of the shop until the door closed.

The doll on the bike with rusty chains, smacked its head onto the wooden door over and over again in desperation.


When Alma looked up again, her doll that looked like her had disappeared somewhere. She was looking around where the doll had last been seen but it wasn't there. When Alma looked up to a shelf filled with dolls she saw the doll she was looking for then started to climb up to the doll.

She saw two girl dolls moving their eyes looking at her. Alma had found what she was looking for. The doll that looked like Alma wasn’t moving its eyes and Alma was still trying to get the doll by climbing on the shelves filled with dolls.

The doll that looked like her kept on disappearing from one shelf to another. But Alma didn’t care she was careless in that doll shop.


Alma finally climbed up to the top shelf she touched the doll’s chest then suddenly Alma turned into a doll she couldn’t move at all, all she could do is move her eyes side to side.

I am a secret agent I am trying to get that cheese. I work for my caption he is a agent to his name is leRat. He put me on a secret mission. I am going to get cramp trapped the cheese was on the mouse trap there was a problem. Today it is so fun because it is very cool we are playing games. Very fun games we are playing
ball tiggy, and three legged shocker.touch, and basketball. Thats is all the games we played
they were all cool and my team is cowld mexico we almost won but we lost we always lose.

Today we are playing basketball. We are using the netball court. It is hard and easy  for us the green team.
We are playing the blue team. When the game was over it was funny because we lost. I thought that we were going to win  so sad. too bad, we lost, but we lost.


It was time for the blue team to play the red team.
It was hard for all the the blue. team and the red team the red team won.

Farewell Mrs Verry

On Friday Miss Verry was going  it was sad the howl people in the  hall was sad and when she was going she cried.  Miss Verry was a good lady every day when people always have a fight
Miss Verry would be there and she would be there even if you're sad.

Today we practiced recrafting a piece of writing the first paragraph
belongs to aldora and the second is mine.

I had fun running the whole track with my friends. It was awesome, and most of all it’s fun hearing about your friends achieving their goals. It was an amazing day.

Around the track I had fun. Running with my friends. Hearing about my friends achieving their goals, it made my day awesome.

Talented athlete Valerie Adium, was celebrating enthusiastcally
at the olympic stadium.Celebrating  enthusiastically a talented athlete
was running around the stadium. Enthusiastically celebrating, the talented
athletes carried the flag around the stadium.

Olympic flame

The olympic flame was started at the ancient  olympics  in olympia greece. Ignited by the sun the flame burnt until the olympics were finished
in olympia a curved mirror and the sun is used to light the olympic torch. Women in ancient white robes perform the ceremony. The torch is then passed from to runner to runner as it travels  from olympia to the host city.The most important event at the opening ceremony is the lighting of the flame .It burns for two
weekes until the games have concluded.

PT England's New Art Gallery

Today we had the first look at the new art gallery and we filmed it for Mr Burt because he is in San Diego. But the art that caught my eye was Meleane To’a she had done a Jackson Pollock.
I thought that it looked realistic and cool.

As I walked around I could see a lot of different styles like picasso and collage and shading. It was like a maze it was dark but the dark made our art stand out, especially room 13’s art because it was bright and colorful. It was fun looking at all the art our school are artists.

“ROOM 13” Miss King shouted “Now you have had a look at all the art, it is time to choose what is the best art”. And I picked Meleane To’a’s, art it was the best. “Now you have chosen your favorite piece of art you keep it in your head until we go to class and write about it!”
