Reflection about the year

Term 1, first term of the year. Term 1 was an amazing term because we done lots and lots of work and activities like zeal zone. Term 2 was alright but kind of boring because we just done the same old thing work work an more work. But was still a good term. Term 3 that was an cool exiting term. We done activities like basketball and other sports. Every week on Wednesday my maths class always went to basketball.

Term 4 was algoods because we done some more sports it was called volleyball. Every Tuesdays the year 8 student at Pt England school went to tech and the yr 7 went to tech on Thursday. Now it is time for term 5 the last term of the year. I recon term 5 was the best term because it is the last term for the year and it’s going to be cool in the holidays.

But i'm going to miss Intermediate. Because i'm going to college i'm not even near ready to go to college. I’m going to Tamaki college it’s just down the road. Every term we have 10 weeks, This term we went to Tamaki college to see how cool is college it was fun. But i’m still ready, Because the teachers might give me hark work.

On Friday the yr 8 students of Pt England school went to Tamaki College.

Once we got there we started to walk around the school, then we went to the school hall. The dp Principal was introducing us to the teachers that we are going to have for our activities. When the dp Principal was finished talking we went to get our stickers that had colours on them to show what team we were in. Red,  green, yellow and blue, After we got our stickers with our name and colours we went to the Tamaki colleges school field.

I was in green, The first activity my team done was called The Blindfolded Obstacle Corse. We had to walk around the poles and jump on thing and go under objects. That was terrifying and fun. Once we finished that activity we went into the basket ball court. We played octopus, and jump the hula hoops. That was tricky because you had to make it to the other side of the court with three hula hoops. You weren't aloud to go out of the hula hoops.

We went on to the next course it was called chain tiggy, you would have to tag people and chain up with them to catch everybody else. It was hard because sometimes when you're not tagged you have to keep running, and you sometimes get tired. When there is lots of people who are chained up they sometimes corner you. When we were finished we had to have lunch and morning tea. Then the fun day was over. The students of Pt England Headed back to school.

Writing About Google Expedition

Yesterday afternoon the yr8 students of Pt England School went in the the senior middle block. We lined up in our groups Tahi, Rua, Toru. Ms Tele’a was speaking to us about what we are about to do, we all were filled with excitement. But it had to be one group at a time. My group Rua went first.

Ms Tele’a gave us one Google cardboard each. There is a phone inside the special cardboard, I call the Cardboard special because there is a type of material inside of the cardboard the helps you see lots of amazing things. When you look into the special cardboard you can see all sorts of things, when you move around.

There almost like the oculus rift. When you move around it’s just like it's really there. They are very confusing, because when you're standing up and walking round you just might walk into a wall. That is why it is important to sit down while your with the gadget. The best place I thought was scary was floating outside of the tallest tower in the world.

That was amazing and scary at the same time. Pt England school is the first school to try them, We are so lucky to get to try them. If you come past one of these gadget you should probably buy one of them. I would like to try the gadget again, it is extremely fun to play with, you can go any where in the world.

One day my friend and I went to go to the Sylvia.  We went to Sylvia to buy somethings for his birthday. He took me to Mcdonalds and to The Ice Cream shop. We were looking for something that he really wanted.

He didn't get to find something he really wanted, So he bought me some food to eat it was delicious. Once we were finished shopping from Sylvia, We went back to his house to have dinner. Once dinner was finished we had his Birthday cake. It was nice.

When dessert was finished we went back out to see the Matariki light trail

It was amazing seeing lots of colorful lights around us. So Brandon and I went walking around the area where lights were. After that we went to walk close to the stage to watch the performance from the Cook Island kids they were amazing.

When the Matariki lights turned off. It was time to go home. When we got back to his house. We went straight to sleep We were soo tired. When we got up, We had to make our beds and then have breakfast. I had Weetabix and toast He had the same as me. I was still sleepy, After that we went walking around Glen Innes looking for something to do. Once we found something to do we weren't bored anymore.

We went the Internet cafe to play some games and listen to music on Youtube. When our time was up we went to Mcdonalds to buy two frozen Cokes. They were super cold but super tasty.

The next was Sunday it was time to go church. Church starts at 10:00am. We got up at 8:30 am, So we had a shower got changed into our church clothes done our hairs. Then went to church in the van. Once we got to church the pastor was praying and talking about jesus christ. When church was finished we went back to his house to play on the xbox 360. When it was time for me to go home I said bye to his family and went home

Immersion Assembly

Today at school we had an Immersion Assembly.  We started from team 1 all the way to team 5. Team 1 production/movie was about going to the zoo to see the animals. It was amazing seeing all sorts of animals. Like a lion, bear, sharks and other animals. Then when they were all most   finished they had a karaoke  it was time for team 2.

Team 2 movie was about dinosaurs, very big dinosaurs. It was super funny because the biggest dinosaur was vs the littlest dinosaur. Guess who one the fight? The Littlest dinosaur, can you believe it. Time for team 3 and 4

Team 3 and 4 production was becoming dinosaurs. So they made up their own dinosaurs masks. It was very funny, then they made a movie of them dancing in the bush that's weird. Who dances in the bushes?. Time for the last and best productions.

It was team 5. our one was about, Survivors they were from different countries and islands. First they had to eat a plate of noodles. The first one to finish there noodles was the lady from Asia, She was safe to the next round.

Today my group and I was reading a Article called 'The Parapara Detectives'. they are detectives because they were looking for clues. They are looking for clues because, the parapara tree is sticking to birds that are flying. The Detectives found a dead piwakawaka in a Para para trees. Then the next day they found another bird stuck in a Para para tree. One was dead but the other bird wasn't dead.

It was injured, So the detectives took the fantail to the vet, The vet is the people who help animals that need help. The Detectives buried the other two birds. They were very sad too see birds who are being killed Just from a tree. So they took all the dangerous trees away so no more birds will be killed. The Detectives are very good at looking for clues. There names where Dillon, Bo, Rebecca and James.

Sharing money is really important because if you share money some other person might give you money when you really need it and you need to pay for food pay for the bills and pay for your insurance. How To Receive Money

One way of receiving money is being a Professional U.F.C Fighter You win thousands of dollars in one day. U.F.C is an sport for people who do kick boxing or more. If someone gets knocked out in the ring by he or she they are the winners, You get lots of money if you win a fight, But if you lose a fight you get less more money than the winner.

Second way of making money is working. You can work anywhere you want. But it is not that easy because if you want a job you have to stay in school and college. Then go to university, Then when you're finished uni you can work anywhere you want.

This Wednesday we had a talk about puberty. This guy named Dan Ackermann, Came to Pt England school. He is funny, First he talked about bullying other people. Bullying is bad, Because people who get bullied feel scared to go school. Sometimes people are even scared to go home, because they get abused. So that’s why it’s bad too bully other people. When he was finished talking about bullying, he told us a little about him.

He said he works at attitude talk. It’s about people who talk to intermediate students about puberty and other stuff. Dan is funny because some people that know him call him, Dan the puberty man. Sometimes he feels embarrassed when people call him Dan the puberty man. He is from South Africa. he lives in L.A, L.A stands for lower auckland. That’s in New Zealan, Once he told us. Something him going to camp and this guy throwing corn beef at this guys head.

That guy that got the corn beef thrown at the back of his head, Started to eat the corn beef of his head and said to that guy that threw corn beef at his head and said good throw bro and they became friends for the rest of the week of camp.

How Do People Receive And Spend Money

When people work they get paid every hour or they get paid every fortnight. People who get paid every hour or get paid every fortnight, That is called wages and people who get paid every fortnight that is called salary. Sometimes when my dad works he gets paid every hour. He starts work at 10am and finishes at 8pm. So my dad works for ten hours. Then my dad gets paid, and buys food, and pays for the bills and the power.

Sometimes when he finishes work he gives me twenty dollars a week. and I spend it on junk food and sometimes I spend my money at the internet cafe. Then when I get home I get angry because I spent all of my money so fast in one day. So I ask my dad for some more money but he was already gone to work. So I asked my mum but she said no.

A New Start For The School

Yesterday the whole school went into the hall because it was a new term for the whole school.Once they all got into the hall the principal Mr Burt was an auctioning man. He was selling rugby balls and chocolate, basket balls and other things. Some of the teachers were giving out fake money to the students of Pt England school. But only if they were good. When the students got their money, They went up too buy some stuff .

After that we all settled down because all the teachers were going to perform. First performance was team 1. Their performance was buying some food and fruits it was on a video. When the video was finished the teacher that were on the video stood up and started to through some lollies to the students.

When they were finished, It was time for team 2. Their performance was dancing and giving away free chocolate ice creams, But only if they get the answers right. When they were done team 3 went up. They were dressed up as a surgeon, Firemen, and one cow lady that was funny. After that it was time for team 4.

They were funny because this boy named Bob, He wanted to buy black ops 3. But he had no money to buy the game he wanted. So he asked this man if he could mow his lawn for 25 dollars. When Bob was finished he did not get all his money because the man only gave him 10 bucks. So he was sad he did not get all his money so he went to Mcdonalds with his friend.  There names were, extra happy, Sassy, Calm.

They were trying to act like the characters of Inside Out. It’s a movie, When it was time for the last performance everybody laughed Because Mr Barks dressed up as a lady. Mr Wiseman was mr barks husban. Some people came in a work truck, on the side of the truck, It said The Good Guys.

When they came Mr and Mrs Wiseman wanted some stuff and so Mr Wiseman picked up a jacket and put the jacket on, Then the good guys said that you don’t have to pay now. But the jacket was $50 bucks Mr Wiseman Wanted to buy it until they put up the price so he took off the jacket and told the good guys, To go away.

School Agreement

I disagree because we want to have lunch and play time when it’s school time. Because if we did not have morning tea time or lunch time i recon the student at Pt England school will get bored. When they're bored they do nothing for the rest of the day, So thats why we should have luch time morning tea time. It’s good to get some exercise, And play around with your friends and the kids to eat there lunch.

If the students did not get lunch for whole day of school, They would get headaches because kids need to eat to give themselves energy, so they can play, work and study. So that is why I disagree about the argue because if agree with the argument I would be to lazy and too tired to talk and walk because I don’t have food in my stomach.

When kids don’t eat they get lazy and tired and they start to get frustrated because they haven't eaten for 6 and a half hours. That’s how long we have to study in school. If the whole school agreed with the argument they would have to study for whole day until school finishes, and thats at 3:00 pm and school starts in the morning at 8:30 am.
